Confetti Predator

from $850.00

Limited Edition of 25 per size

I have been so fortunate to dive regularly in Cabo Pulmo National Park in Baja California Sur, Mexico. This National Marine Protected Area is a perfect example of how the ocean can recover from our pillaging of it if we protect it. Almost 30 years old, this area is bursting with marine life, including its most famous residents, the bull sharks.

Each time I dive with these sharks I am filled with awe and wonder at the beauty of them, my heart racing with adrenaline to be among one of the planet’s greatest apex predators. Full of grace and curiosity and also antithetically quite shy, they tend to gravitate towards us divers, seeming to wonder what it is we are doing down there. I am never scared; “awestruck”, “reverent”, “grateful”, “curious”, and “incredibly fortunate” are words that come to mind.

So I return again and again to this incredibly rich place in hopes of diving with these magnificent creatures and hope that my images capture your attention and dispel your unfounded fears of these maligned and misunderstood animals. They are an integral part of the ocean food chain and without them, the world’s oceans will collapse.
