Fly Like an Eagle

from $850.00

Limited Edition of 25 per size

Spotted eagle rays are often seen gliding near coral reefs and along the sandy bottom in the Sea of Cortez. They use their large pectoral fins for propulsion, giving them the illusion of flying through the water and over the sand. They are able to jump out of the water to avoid predation, using their long whip-like tail to assist them in their launch. We were on an adventure dive, exploring new reef areas where we had previously had not been when this handsome ray came flying by. I grabbed this quick shot just before it sailed off into the deep.
