One of the things I love about being a wildlife photographer is how other photographers are willing to share intel on the location of something special! I was scrolling through Instagram where I follow numerous photographers, professional, amateur, hobbyists, and saw a photo of some fledgling great horned owls. I sent a DM to the photographer - a teenager - who was happy to disclose their location in the Presidio in San Fransisco. Her description of where they were, including where to park to get to them more easily, was spot on. There cyclone fencing placed to protect the area, the fledglings and keep spectators at a safe distance, but photographers were able to get close enough to watch these beautiful kids as they navigated the nesting area, with Mom standing watch on a limb close by.
