We were fortunate to visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust elephant orphanage and spend time with two dozen orphans. All of the elephants at the orphanage had lost their wild families, but had created new bonds among the rest of the orphans, with adolescents looking out for babies. These two youngsters were inseparable, their bond evident in their snuggling.
