Limited Edition of 25 per size

Each spring and summer, large groups of Mobula munkiana gather in the Sea of Cortez to feed, mate, and give birth. Known for their acrobatic leaps up to two meters high, these rays use breaching for communication, courtship, or parasite removal. I spend days kayaking at sunrise photographing their spontaneous, joyful behaviors—one of my favorite marine species. Listed as Near Threatened, Munk’s devil rays face threats from bycatch and habitat loss. I hope this image raises awareness of their beauty and vulnerability.
