The Fimbriaphyllia Ancora Hammer Coral is a much sought after resident of salt water tanks in the aquarium trade, but we were lucky enough to find this beauty while diving in Puerta Galera, Philippines. A lovely soft coral, found in the Indo-Pacific, it resembles clusters of mushrooms. Like other soft corals, has stinging tentacles for eating and defense, and can often harbor other small critters like shrimp and flatworms.
