From our hide in Chyulu Hills, we watched as herds came and went, pausing for a drink. After the rush, four zebras stepped up, aligning perfectly at the water’s edge. Oxpeckers fluttered on their backs, jostling for space. Then, as if on cue, the zebras lowered their heads in unison, their striped reflections rippling in the water. A fleeting moment of symmetry, a quiet display of nature’s rhythm.
