Toxic Beauty

from $225.00

Limited Edition of 25 prints per size

The flamboyant lionfish is an invasive pest in the Caribbean and Florida, but a favorite of divers in places like Tubbataha, Philippines where their populations are kept in balance by native predators. A striking, but venomous beauty, these slowly moving fish are fantastic subjects for underwater photographers with their flashy colorful fins and poisonous spines. This young fish, only a few inches big, allowed me to get close enough to capture all of the intricate detail surround its eye, head and striking pectoral fins.
